A finely hand thrown vintage studio pottery jug by the well respected pottery Svend Bayer (born 1946)

This example has an unglazed lower part with a green mottled glaze on the upper part and inside.

Impressed SB seal under the handle.

Svend Bayer was born in Uganda with Danish parent. He moved to England age 16 before studying at Exeter University. He worked with Michael Cardew at Wenford Bridge from 1969 and is considered as Cardews best student.

Marks –
Impressed seal under the handle.

Condition –
Excellent. NO chips, cracks or restorations.
Vintage item with some but minimal evidence of use.
